Formed in the summer of 2003, The Bad Downs has gained its popularity and following by offering high energy shows, crowd pleasing music and professionalism.
The band has become the go-to-band for many bar owners and special event coordinators. The Bad Downs kicks off the tourism season Memorial Day weekend every year in Minocqua, Wausau’s hottest Halloween Party at Day’s Bowl-A-Dome , and Green Bay Packer home game weekends at several of Green Bay’s largest venues. In addition the band has become popular with several summer music festivals including the Boondox Rocks Festival in Prentice, Wi, and Rock Fest in Cadott, Wi. This summer, The Bad Downs will be made their second Rock Fest appearance, playing in Beer Tent #3, and opening the main stage on Thursday, July 16th, where they were followed by Black Berry Smoke, Saving Able and The Steve Miller Band.
We all share one common drive: The need to perform and make music. The collective experience of the members span well over 30 years, and we do not plan on stopping any time soon. Our Main goal is to get the people we are performing for to have fun, and to interact, regardless of what it takes. Because of this, we have gained popularity and following in our home city of Wausau as well as Milwaukee, Green Bay, La Crosse, Minocqua and the Chippewa Valley….. Just to name a few.
